2022 Year in Review

At the start of 2022, AMG leadership made it clear that 2022 would be the year to focus on personal health and happiness and each of us was given encouragement and grace to reconnect and transition back into the world following the pandemic. This focus on personal health and vitality, while staying connected professionally, has directly supported the wellbeing of the company and AMG’s unparalleled service to our clients.

As 2022 comes to a close, AMG staff were asked to reflect on the year and share their greatest personal/professional accomplishment, be it big or small. For in the words of the great Walt Disney, “Whatever we accomplish belongs to our entire group, a tribute to our combined effort”.

Reflections from colleagues

“During all the storms, turbulence, war, lingering covid, and recessionary environment in 2022, the AMG team cruised smoothly with an easy landing, collectively and calmly, which is all attributed to every one of the team. Huge accomplishment!

“My happiest accomplishment is the incredible post-covid rebound of our school-based bike-ped safety education program with 48 school events on the books for the 2022-23 school year – and more events being added to the calendar every day!”

“I helped a colleague with a laptop issue, and he said Wow it worked like magic.”

“No one complained – everyone jumped in to do whatever it takes to complete a project!”

“I think working with a wonderful, thankful team is a huge accomplishment for anyone nowadays. People that are always willing to step in and help each other in times of need. But also know how to come together to have fun and celebrate when life is kinder and generous.”

“Being hired at AMG so that I can support the collective vision of building a better future.”

“Working on winning grants.”

“Working with a great team to deliver multiple innovative grant applications in an effort to attract much needed Infrastructure Bill funding to Contra Costa County to deliver vital congestion management projects. I was so impressed with the collective effort on all the grants, especially the MEGA grant application, which was AMG’s heaviest lift yet. I have a good feeling that 2023 will be another year of wins!”

“2022 was about being flexible and ushering positive transitions as we prepare for new norms.”

“Working toward achieving a more just and equitable society, as well as the connection between personal rights and the overall quality of life and freedom for all.”

Wishing you all the best this holiday season. Happy New Year!
