Spring and Summer 2023 has been packed full of activities.

April 2023 – PRESTO Launch

CCTA launches the Presto Shuttle which is giving autonomous rides at the Bishop Ranch Business Park in San Ramon.

The service is funded in part by an $8 million ATCMTD grant from the United States Department of Transportation for the Mobility on Demand project. AMG staff helped author the grant application and is currently managing the project.

April 2023 – AMG turns 5!

April marked 5 years in business for AMG. Staff celebrated this important milestone with a special lunch in downtown Walnut Creek.

July 2023 – DPMT Gets the Green Light

In the Spring of 2021, the cities of Antioch, Brentwood, Oakley and Pittsburg completed the East County DPMT Feasibility Study (Study) to support a potential micro-transit deployment with Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) in East Contra Costa County. Subsequently, the Authority and Eastern Contra Costa Transit Authority (ECCTA) partnered to evaluate the potential deployment of the East County DPMT project. For the last few years, AMG has supporting CCTA in working with project stakeholders to advance project development of this exciting innovative project. In July 2023 a Public Private-Partnership (P3) Developer Team was selected to reconfirm the results of the original feasibility study, identify an initial buildable segment, and continue to seek grant funding for future phases.

August 2023 – Our Mobility Solutions Team finished out a strong 2023 Summer Youth Pass program.

It was a record-breaking summer for 511 Contra Costa’s 2023 Summer Youth Pass program which offered unlimited bus rides to youth ages 6-18 between June 1 and August 31, 2023, for $30. AMG staff support CCTA in managing and administering the 511 Contra Costa program, which runs on an annual basis. Now that school is back in session, explore the other opportunities the youth here. The Program offers a myriad of incentives toward encouraging active transportation, including the Drive Less Program, Van Pool Driver Incentive, Guaranteed Ride Home and many more.
