Walk N Roll – Active Mobility in Action

7 schools | 32% participation | 417 tons of CO₂ reduced.

AMG and 511 Contra Costa are driving lasting impact.

The 2024–2025 Walk N Roll Program celebrated a milestone year in encouraging active, sustainable transportation among Contra Costa County students and their families. Seven schools participated in the pilot program, engaging an average of 180 students per site—representing 29% of total enrollment.

Through walking and biking initiatives, classroom education, and community events, students collectively helped reduce an estimated 417 tons of CO₂ emissions and 1.2 million vehicle miles traveled during the school year.

Through AMG’s Mobility Options program and partnerships with CCTA and TFCA, the Walk N Roll Program empowers students and families to choose healthier, safer ways to travel—building lifelong habits that support cleaner air and greater community equity.

From school corridors to community streets, AMG is proud to help drive the shift toward active, safe, and sustainable mobility—one step, one pedal, and one student at a time.
